This policy explains what information travelsimscanner.com ("we") collects when you use the site, and how it is used. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a price-comparison site.
Information we collect
- Outbound link clicks. When you click a link to a provider, we record which link was clicked, the destination country you were viewing, the page you clicked from, and the time. We do not store your IP address or any account details with these records.
- Your on-page choices such as currency, language and destination are kept in your browser only and are not sent to us as personal data.
- Technical logs. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies and partner tracking
We work with affiliate networks (including Travelpayouts). When you click through to a provider, that network and the provider may set cookies to record that the visit came from us, so we can be paid a commission. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies. A script from Travelpayouts runs on our pages to manage these affiliate links. We also set one first-party cookie of our own (tss_src, kept for 7 days) that records only which website or social channel referred you, so we can see which channels are useful; it contains no personal data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views and to measure page speed. It does not use cookies, does not track you across websites and does not build a profile of you; it reports aggregated statistics such as pages viewed, referring sites, country and browser type.
How we use information
- To see which providers and destinations are most useful to visitors and improve the site.
- To confirm commissions with our affiliate partners.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information.
Where data is stored
Site data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) and served through Cloudflare. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.
Email newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address, the page you signed up on, the time, and the consent wording you agreed to. We use it only to send the TravelSimScanner newsletter (about two emails a week). Emails are sent by our provider Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), and a copy of your subscription is kept in our database (Supabase). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we keep only a record of the unsubscribe. To have your data deleted, email hello@travelsimscanner.com. We never sell or share your email.
